Seeking Board Members
CRCH recently obtained our tax exempt status, and is working to fulfill all legal and regulatory obligations. Our first goal in this regard is to put together a qualified, dedicated board of directors.
The purpose of the organization is:
Assist patients who cannot pay for their reproductive care services with Metro Area affiliated practices
Sponsor special projects or capital improvements that remove barriers and facilitate health equity within this purview (such as additional technology or supplies that are expensive for practices, so they charge extra fees out of pocket. This in turn makes that technology out of reach for people without insurance or Medicaid recipients )
One example of this is a Nitrous Oxide system for pain relief during IUDs and other procedures - either sponsoring the purchase of a machine or the payment of the associated anesthesia fees for people who cannot afford them
Further development of the org's mission and more precise parameters will be the first task of the newly appointed boar
Board members are expected to take an active role in the organization, including but not limited to the following:
Meeting at least every few weeks (can be virtual)
Drafting bylaws, mission statement, and code of conduct
Making decisions about and planning new projects and initiatives, determining whether they are fiscally appropriate and consistent with mission of org
Must be pro abortion, sex worker positive, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and anti racist
